Mark first worked with Greenpeace in 2002 on the Clean Energy Now! campaign in order to get the University of California to adopt a systemwide green building and clean energy policy that would apply to every one of its 10 campuses. He is currently the president of the California Student Sustainability Coalition at UC San Diego.
Prior to environmental activism, he worked as a journalist and Managing Editor of Glendale College's student newspaper and as a graphic designer for PK Web Industries, Penguin Palace, The UCSD Guardian and AYM Network. He is also a dance music producer for Romantek Records and a DJ for the outdoor event group Trip23. He enjoys long walks on the beach as long as his feet aren't covered with oil afterwards.
