This fall, Barbara and Paul Petroleum (BNP), plans to start drilling for natural gas on Padre Island, one of only ten national seashores in the United States. Although South Padre Island is already developed, Padre Island remains one of the most pristine, undeveloped barrier islands in the world. We must put pressure on the Bush Administration demanding they Kill the Drill not only on Padre Island, but all of our public lands.    Kill the Drill on Padre Island

A ruptured tanker carrying 77,000 tons of fuel oil, almost twice the amount that spilled from the Exxon Valdez, has split in two and begun to sink off of Spain's coast.
